Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Supplier Engineer specializing in Mechanical Engineering to oversee manufacturing and operational issues across our supplier base. The role involves establishing process controls and ensuring quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities & Deliverables
Manage supplier issue resolution and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and propose supplier improvement plans.
Document key learnings and best practices.
Assist in technical audits and evaluate supplier performance and capability.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives at suppliers.
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 4-5 years in Supplier Development or Supplier Quality roles. Overall experience should range from 8-14 years, with at least 7 years in Manufacturing Supply Chain Management.
Skills & Desired Qualifications
Understanding of mechanical parts, assemblies, and ability to interpret drawings.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and dependencies.
Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies like 8D and CAPA.
Experience with vacuum components is a plus.
Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
