Quality Inspector I-III – 2nd Shift (4PM-2:30AM) Nammo Composition Solutions, an engineering and composite manufacturing company with more than 30 years of operations in Salt Lake City, Utah, is seeking a full‑time Quality Technician to conduct visual inspections and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves advising management on product conformance, providing fact‑based recommendations for improvement, and resolving quality issues.

Job Summary As a Quality Technician, you will perform in‑process and final product inspections, support Quality Engineering, and collaborate with suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions.

Key Responsibilities

Review prescribed specifications and standards to detect errors.

Identify non‑conformances based on inspection plans.

Assist in planning and conducting first‑article inspections (AS9102).

Generate and review manufacturing/inspection documentation.

Resolve product quality problems and suggest improvements.

Collaborate with supplier quality to address incoming inspection issues.

Recommend updates to inspection techniques to improve accuracy and eliminate inconsistencies.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Quality Technician I

High School Diploma or GED required.

Basic understanding of dimensioning.

Proficiency with calipers, height gauges, OD/ID micrometers, Vernier scales, Romer arm, optical comparators, pi tapes.

Ability to document non‑conformance reports.

Can follow inspection plans with minimal supervision after training.

Proficient in Excel, Word, SmarTeam, Epicor, and Outlook.

Quality Technician II

High School Diploma or GED required.

5+ years of relevant experience.

Experience with mechanical manufacturing engineering or CMM programming/inspection.

Understanding of GD&T.

Skillful use of the same measurement tools as Technician I.

Capable of performing inspection plans independently.

Ability to train other technicians on selected skills.

Proficient in Excel, Word, SmarTeam, Epicor, Outlook.

Quality Technician III

High School Diploma or GED required.

10+ years of relevant experience.

Strong background in mechanical manufacturing engineering or CMM programming/inspection.

In-depth GD&T knowledge.

Independent operation of measurement tools and troubleshooting.

Lead training for other technicians across diverse programs.

Can fill in for other technical levels when needed.

Proficient in Excel, Word, SmarTeam, Epicor, Outlook.

Employment Details Shift: 2nd Shift (4:00 PM – 2:30 AM), Monday‑Thursday. Salary range: $39,500.00‑$65,900.00. Location: Salt Lake City, UT.
