At BrightView, the best teams are created and maintained here. We’re looking for an Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You’d Be Responsible For
Process Improvement and Efficiency: Analyze current operational processes and workflows; identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency; streamline processes to reduce costs, improve productivity and quality. Team Leadership and Development: Manage and supervise staff, provide training, development, and performance evaluations; foster a positive work environment and address team issues promptly. Forecasting and Labor Management: Manage and execute weekly and monthly labor planning as directed by Branch Manager; monitor expenses and allocate resources efficiently; ensure operations stay within forecasted labor hours/dollars/percent targets. Procurement and Inventory Management: Ensure procurement of products is properly sourced from preferred vendors; manage inventory levels to meet demand without overstocking; collaborate with suppliers for timely delivery; track equipment and perform preventative maintenance. Safety, Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure operations comply with regulations and safety standards; identify risks and implement mitigation strategies; ensure execution of standard company processes and maintain documentation. Reporting and Performance Metrics: Monitor KPIs, report progress to Branch Manager daily; use data and company tools (BrightPath, Power BI, Leadr, Field Management Systems, Estimating CPQ) to drive continuous improvement. Customer Service, Satisfaction and Jobsite Quality: Ensure operations support excellent customer service and jobsite quality; address operational issues affecting customer satisfaction; implement processes to improve customer experience. Project Management: Lead or contribute to operational projects; coordinate branch teams to achieve growth and goals; ensure client work is delivered on time and within scope and forecast. Resource Planning: Oversee allocation of staffing, equipment, and technology; forecast operational needs and plan for future requirements; ensure capacity to meet demand. Collaboration and Communication: Bridge between Office Admin, Operations, Sales, and Account Management; execute operational excellence strategies and collaborate with external partners to optimize operations. You Might Be a Good Fit If You Have
2- or 4-year degree in landscape or business-related field or equivalent experience Minimum 7 years in construction or landscaping industry Minimum 2–3 years of management experience within landscape or service industry Qualified Applicator License (Pesticide or Fertilizer) preferred Working knowledge of Windows OS and programs including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, FSM, BrightPath, MFP/WAR calls Experience with mobile applications and software including email, photos, and mobility features Ability to function in a fast-paced, changing environment Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Effective written and oral communication skills Here’s What To Know About Working Here
