Job Overview The LA28 Commercial Hospitality team leads a modernized approach to Olympic and Paralympic hospitality, providing unparalleled access to once‑in‑a‑lifetime experiences. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Hospitality Operations & Event Production, the Manager, In‑Venue Hospitality Operations will oversee venue‑specific hospitality operations within Olympic and Paralympic venues. This includes attendee flow logistics, transportation coordination, accreditation processing, and access control. The role requires strong cross‑functional collaboration, project management, and experience with large‑scale event operations.
Key Responsibilities
Venue Operations & Attendee Flow
Oversee hospitality operations at Olympic and Paralympic venues to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Manage entry and access control for hospitality guests in coordination with venue security and accreditation teams.
Develop operational plans with On Location to optimize attendee flow and ensure efficiency.
Liaise with Event Venue Management (EVM) and Venue Infrastructure (VNI) to integrate hospitality space planning.
Develop operational readiness and delivery plans, validating maps, plans, drawings, staffing plans, and other critical operational elements.
Cross‑Collaboration & Partner Management
Primary liaison between On Location’s operational team and LA28 functional areas for Olympic & Paralympic venues.
Collaborate with key functional areas and On Location to identify all in‑venue hospitality spaces and create detailed operational requirements.
Ensure alignment between hospitality execution plans and LA28’s broader framework and requirements.
Facilitate regular meetings with On Location and internal stakeholders to review operational plans, address challenges, and coordinate solutions.
Operational Support & Real‑Time Management
Coordinate hospitality‑specific transportation logistics with LA28 Transportation team & On Location Operations Team.
Oversee accreditation management and distribution of vehicle access passes (VAPPs), ensuring compliance.
Develop and implement contingency plans for high‑traffic areas.
Facilitate real‑time operational decision‑making during the Games to address challenges efficiently.
Reporting & Documentation
Provide regular operational updates, reports, and key performance metrics to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Background & Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of experience in event operations, venue management, or hospitality logistics (preferably in sports or live event industry).
Proven ability to lead complex event logistics, managing multiple stakeholders and operational priorities.
Experience delivering exceptional guest experiences in a customer‑focused environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Work on‑site in an office environment, based in Los Angeles, CA.
Extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
Occasional visits to LA28 venues.
Expectations
Strong understanding of large‑scale event operations, including transportation, accreditation, and security coordination.
Excellent leadership and communication skills with ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams.
