Job Summary The Registered Nurse is a practitioner who is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The Staff RN–Inpatient job description has incorporated essential functions adapted from the ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010). The position is located in Menomonee Falls, WI at the Froedtert Health Men Falls Hospital facility.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in an inpatient setting.

Demonstrate clinical competence in the care and management of target patient populations specific to the area of employment.

Utilize evidence-based practice and nursing theory in the delivery of patient care.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; licensed registered nurse in Wisconsin required.

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or approved equivalent required within 90 days of hire.

Non‑BSN nurses with less than one year of licensed RN experience must enroll in a BSN or higher degree program within 15 months of hire; degree completion expected within 5 years (or 6 years for MSN, DNP, or PhD).
