Summary Of Position $5000.00 SIGN ON RETENTION BONUS!!!! The Maintenance Manager plans, organizes and supervises the Division's maintenance staff and functions. This management position holds responsibility for overall fleet/equipment support and associated maintenance processes that include inspection, repair, pre/post servicing, vehicle distribution, quality assurance and disposal at the Division level. The manager works in partnership with the Regional Maintenance Manager and Operations teams to ensure overall fleet condition, equipment reliability, safety and cost‑effective fleet performance. Responsibilities

Manages departmental hiring, training, coaching, performance management, discipline, scheduling of work assignments, and overtime authorization. Maintains an ongoing preventive/corrective maintenance program which sets the standard for service excellence. Reviews status reports including road calls, breakdowns, parts inventory, repairs, and safety performance. Provides hands‑on maintenance assistance as needed. Educates drivers on DVI R requirements, fleet vehicle operation and basic CDL requirements. Ensures all maintenance‑related data is available for input in the vehicle maintenance system. Monitors dossier efficiencies, inventory control, and performance goals with continuous measurement and reporting. Assists in purchasing new vehicles, equipment, tools, and containers. Establishes and conducts maintenance‑related training sessions that improve overall fleet condition and operational knowledge for drivers, mechanics, and shop personnel. Administers and monitors regional adherence to federal and state programs, ensuring EPA and other mandatory regulations are met. Verifies implementation of DOT, OSHA, EPA regulations and monitors conformance on an ongoing basis, coordinating with local Safety, Corporate Safety and Regional Maintenance Manager. Optimizes vehicle maintenance quality and transportation readiness. Reports fleet inventory/condition, including out‑of‑service listing matched to the asset list. Manages divisional maintenance budgets. Implements and monitors all fleet maintenance activities such as pre/post‑trip inspections, safety lane compliance, warranty recovery, tire standards, oil/lubricants, major component failure and new initiatives. Facilitates equipment movement between divisions, ensuring proper inspections and delivery in ready condition. Evaluates body damage estimates, managing cost controls and enhancing vendor service. Evaluates equipment performance and recommends modifications or alternate vendors based on maintenance/costing information. Analyzes service issues related to fleet maintenance, performs root cause analysis, recommends remediation methods, and escalates as needed. Supports creation of useful metrics and performance diagnostic reporting tools to support fleet quality trending and maintenance performance. Work Environment

Requires motor coordination with finger dexterity (keyboarding, machine operation, driving, reaching). May occasionally require lifting/moving objects up to 20 pounds, stooping, reaching, carrying, and pushing. Exposed to physical occupational risks such as cuts, bruises, machinery/heavy equipment. Exposed to environmental factors like dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements. Normal setting includes office, field, and maintenance facilities. Seniority Level
