How You’ll Make a Difference As a
Maintenance Technician
at Wendover, you’ll play a vital role in creating and maintaining the high‑quality living experience our residents count on. With a focus on safety, service, and curb appeal, you’ll support day‑to‑day upkeep of the community while modeling care, precision, and pride in every task.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain the overall cleanliness and functionality of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, and shared spaces.
Ensure trash is removed regularly from office areas, community perimeters, and trash chutes/compactors.
Prepare units for new residents by supporting make‑ready efforts—including trash removal and minor repairs.
Clean and prepare available apartments and models to our standard of excellence.
Troubleshoot and repair a range of maintenance issues, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry.
Assist with maintenance needs across the community and escalated larger concerns to the Service or Community Manager.
Maintain curb appeal through daily visual inspections and proactive upkeep.
Support emergency response efforts including hazardous weather, flooding, or fire events.
Keep the maintenance shop clean, organized, and stocked.
Collaborate with office staff on community projects or resident needs as requested.

Requirements What You Bring
High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in property maintenance is a plus.
Working knowledge of light carpentry, drywall repair and texture, and painting.
Comfort with troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, and mechanical issues (certification a plus).
A keen eye for detail and a proactive mindset toward safety and presentation.
Customer service focus with a positive, team‑first attitude.
Ability to multitask and shift priorities in a fast‑paced, people‑centered environment.
Computer literacy helpful, but not required—willingness to learn is key.
A sense of pride, ownership, and care in everything you do.
Driver’s license and vehicle required based on community needs.
Promote a collaborative culture rooted in respect, ownership, and accountability.
Working Conditions & Expectations This is a full‑time role requiring flexibility, including on‑call rotation, some weekend work, and occasional overtime. This role is active and hands‑on, requiring physical stamina, agility, and attention to detail to ensure a safe, well‑maintained community.
Frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing throughout the day.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Use of ladders, power tools, and other maintenance equipment as needed.
Comfort working in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions—including heat, cold, rain, and humidity.
Manual dexterity to handle small parts, tools, and repairs.
Occasional work from heights or in confined spaces.
Ability to respond quickly in emergency or time‑sensitive situations.
Reliable mobility throughout the property to complete tasks across buildings, units, and common areas.
