Position Type : Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Work Location : Orogrande, NM (White Sands Missile Range)
Company : Systems Application & Technologies, Inc. (SA-TECH) is a progressive and well-established DoD contractor specializing in range operations and maintenance, weapons testing, facilities management, aerial/ground/seaborne targets O&M, technical/logistics and other engineering support, systems integration, electronics and communications maintenance services, and a growing cybersecurity business. Position :
Electronics Technician Maintenance I (ETM I)
at WSMR, based out of our facilities in
Orogrande, NM .
Responsibilities
Apply basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine O&M tasks following detailed instructions.
Troubleshoot and isolate electronic circuits and interpret Technical Manuals and schematics.
Modify and install various types of electronic equipment and related devices.
Work includes cross-utilization into other positions that fall within our scope of work.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Conditions
Most work will be accomplished in enclosed buildings; conditions will vary with the season.
Work on the range throughout the year; temperatures will vary.
Cross-utilization into other positions within our scope of work.
Overtime and weekend work may be required.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs., unassisted, to the waist.
You must be able to deploy to both CONUS and OCONUS for short stints.
Education/Experience/Skills
Two-year degree in Electronics or equivalent, or High School diploma + two (2) years Avionics/Electronics experience.
Computer/Networking/MS Office proficiency.
Basic electronics background with avionics background preferred.
Must be able to deploy to both CONUS and OCONUS.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs to the waist.
Current NM or TX Driver’s License required; must be insurable under the company’s vehicle policy for work/government/rental vehicles during working hours and throughout employment.
U.S. Citizenship required and must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance within 45 days of hire and maintain clearance throughout employment.
All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
