What You’ll Do
Responsible for coordinating referrals and managing patient information.
Coordinate referrals received from referral sources.
Enter patient demographic, clinical, and insurance information into the computer system.
Maintain confidentiality of patients and proprietary information.
Coordinate with other departments (Sales, Access, clinical staff) regarding status of referrals and authorization requirements and out-of-pocket costs before delivery.
Complete documentation of progress notes in the computer system.
Notify patients/caregivers regarding insurance coverage and payment responsibilities.
Ensure insurance verification is completed and patients have accepted financial responsibility prior to initial shipment.
Ensure all required documentation has been received to process the referral timely.
Other duties as assigned.
