In the role of Mechanical Design Coordinator, we’ll count on you to:
Coordinate mechanical aspects of commercial or institutional projects.
Perform routine mechanical engineering assignments using standard techniques and procedures.
Write and edit mechanical specifications, and select mechanical systems and devices.
Utilize engineering software to develop HVAC loads, energy analysis, and mechanical equipment selections.
Prepare construction documents for HVAC and plumbing design of buildings, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
Work independently on small projects, or assist more senior engineers on larger projects.
Supervise Mechanical CAD Technicians, coordinate design of assigned projects with architectural staff and other engineering disciplines.
Take responsibility for construction contract administration requiring field inspections and conflict resolution.
Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical emphasis.
Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
Will obtain EIT during career progression if not already qualified.
Experience in Healthcare, Science and Technology or Civic facilities.
Knowledge of sustainable design/LEED desired but not required.
Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Trane TRACE or similar, equipment selection software).
