Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of supervisors, laborers, or material movers as associates receive, store, and distribute material, equipment, and products within the Ben E. Keith distribution center.
Train night personnel in the performance of assigned duties to ensure a safe work environment.
Perform management tasks to maximize productivity of personnel and maintain adequate staffing levels.
Direct and monitor the work of night personnel to ensure consistent operational efficiency of the warehouse.
Monitor and manage the disposition of freight to ensure accurate delivery of BEK products to customers.
Perform administrative tasks to ensure the proper and timely completion of paperwork, including time/wage reporting, daily receipts and other required documentation.
Supervise duties for night warehouse personnel.
Provide feedback and assistance to direct reports.
Job Qualifications
At least 3 years of warehouse experience required
Food service and/or manufacturing experience preferred
Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines helpful
Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
Ability to read and interpret rules/guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions
Good computer skills; ability to learn internal applications
Ability to learn and use relevant internal applications
Able to work in extreme temperatures (cold and hot)
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lead others
Self-starter with ability to multi-task
Excellent organization skills
Ability to work in fast-paced environment
Customer-focused
Strong attention to detail
Good problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.); some college preferred
