Branch Operations Manager based out of Lenexa, KS Company Overview: Belt Power LLC is a full service distributor and fabricator specializing in the fulfillment of conveyor system requirements for the processing, manufacturing, and material handling industry. We place an emphasis on providing quality, value added components; as well as local service capabilities to support our customers’ needs. Our product line ranges from all types of conveyor belting, conveying equipment and components, belting accessories, hose and fitting products, plastics, gasket, and power transmission products.
Job Summary: The Branch Operations Manager oversees Office activities, Production, Facility Management. This is a salaried position with the potential for annual bonus based on branch profitability .
Responsibilities Includes:
Responsible for handling quotes and orders for outside salespeople and customers.
Maintains on-time quote and order acknowledgment response time
Periodically meets with and manages vendors/suppliers
Responsible for occasional local customer visits and ride-along with outside sales team (varies depending on branch needs)
Works with branch belt shop leader/manager to optimize shop production
Assists with scheduling installs
Optimizes shop fabrication and workflows
Oversees shop supply orders and approve
Reviews inventory levels
Responsible for initiating (in cases doing the ordering) inventory re-orders.
Understanding of all shop processes; including shipping, receiving, fabrication, etc.
Strong understanding of all shop equipment and know how to operate it
Shop equipment maintenance scheduling and maintenance programs
Manages other inside salespeople inside the branch. Maintains expected on-time quote and order acknowledgment response time
Manages and approves work and PTO schedules for branch hourly employees
Verifies branch hourly employee timecards
Oversees repairs/upgrades to branch physical structure and facilities for branch
Responsible for maintaining facility IT equipment, computer system and phone system
Schedules and coordinates outside contractors needing access to the branch
Becomes branch single point of contact for intercompany branch communication
Communicates all branch activities to supervisor
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Organization and prioritization skills; attention to detail
Highly responsive to and respectful of customer needs
Attention to detail and observant in discussions with customers
Strong communication skills written and verbal
Cold call in person and over the phone with ease
Competency in Microsoft Office
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Overtime hours and weekend work may be required
Overnight travel
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Desired Characteristics:
Ability and desire to quickly learn new processes and systems
Reliability, integrity, accuracy, team work, positive attitude, organized, intelligent, proactive, and adaptable
Physical Demands: The Branch Operations Manager may lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate equipment controls. Tools, and other items used to make adjustments and/or minor maintenance. Will use hands, arms, back, and shoulders to handle, installs, position, move items, and manipulate other objects. Could be in a sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting position for long periods of time.
While performing the duties of this position, the Branch Operations Manager will be regularly exposed to working near moving and mechanical parts and equipment. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position in office, shop, and at the customer site. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Frequent travel, overnight, overtime hours, and weekend work may be required.
