The Commodity Manager (CM) II is a strategic, forward-thinking subject matter expert who monitors market trends, develops sourcing strategies, and communicates commodity agreements and strategies across the business. The CM demonstrates competence in development and execution of commodity strategies, negotiation, and supplier assessments. Responsibilities

Lead current production cost reduction and new program sourcing globally for the commodities Collaborate with stakeholders to seek input, build trust, and optimize overall impact Process purchase orders and ensure suppliers meet delivery dates Develop and execute sourcing strategies and plans to leverage global purchasing and optimize total supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery, and launch) Lead data collection, validation, analysis, and negotiation activities for the commodities Negotiate and manage global strategic supplier contracts and approve changes; manage relationships for strategic suppliers Communicate commodity agreements and strategies to the business globally; report progress to senior managers Facilitate supplier assessments and performance reviews; monitor strategy effectiveness and adjust as needed Serve as a resource/expert for the commodities Participate in process improvements to develop and implement best practices Monitor supply markets and trends and aggregate forecasts and global specifications Operate with professional integrity Approve all sourcing decisions globally Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business-related or technical area Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing the relevant commodities Experience with cost modeling, cost drivers, and cost structures Ability to read blueprints/d rawings Ability to manage complex commodities and increasing spend across multiple commodities Strong negotiation skills and experience assessing suppliers Experience developing and implementing commodity strategies Understanding of industry quality standards Coordination, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Professional verbal and written communication skills Preferred/Additional
