Description: The objective of this position is to exceed the customer’s expectation of service by assuring the safe transportation and delivery of food to customer locations, following company policies and procedures. Assuring shipment of temperature controlled and undamaged product, proper count of goods at customer locations, assuring inventory levels are FIFO in the customer locations.
Rate: $18.00 per hour
Hours: 2 PM to 10:30 PM, with Monday and Saturday as scheduled days off (subject to change)
Responsibilities
Safe transportation and delivery of food to customer locations following company policies and procedures
Ensure shipment of temperature controlled and undamaged product
Verify proper count of goods at customer locations
Maintain FIFO inventory in customer locations
Load and unload trucks and containers using provided equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Direct products to the correct area in the warehouse
Report faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to supervisor
Qualifications
Must have Stand Up Reach Truck experience
1 year Reach Truck experience
Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and Radio Frequency
Must be able to work in a freezer environment
Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English to effectively communicate, follow written instructions, complete documentation, and ensure safety and accuracy in daily operations
The ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly
The ability to respond quickly to sounds
The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
Must be 18 years or over
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Pay close attention to details and meet deadlines
Accountabilities
Promote a safe work environment through personal actions
Check and count freight for accuracy and/or damage; take inventory as needed
Report unsafe conditions to supervisor
Ensure proper routing of products within the warehouse
