Key responsibilities
Lead and manage continuous improvement projects to achieve measurable business process improvements; apply Lean Manufacturing methodology and analytics to organizational operations to accomplish business objectives.
Provide tactical and strategic implementation of the Zurn Elkay Business System, encompassing practical application of lean operations, operational excellence, and six sigma tools across the business.
Contribute to enhancing key business processes that add value to customers, shareholders, and associates.
Analyze and improve the distribution network to offer best-in-class service while maximizing cash flow and minimizing logistics costs; consolidate information to develop and propose operations strategy; track and oversee projects and action plans; provide work direction across multiple groups or functions outside of the team, without direct reporting authority.
Coordinate and track monthly strategy deployment activities and initiatives to meet Business Metrics, Annual Improvement Priorities (AIPs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Drive best practices across all areas of responsibility.
Educate, engage, and empower future leaders by creating and facilitating lean daily management training and development programs.
Implement Lean processes according to the organization’s Lean Implementation Plan (Standard Work, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Problem Solving, Kaizen, and Pull Principles).
Oversee organizational participation in lean initiatives to achieve ZEBS metrics.
Drive associate participation (including process experts) in Lean initiatives and institutionalize problem solving tools to address and resolve problems.
Identify and share best practices across different Zurn Elkay locations.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree; Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain preferred
5 - 7 years of experience in direct plant, manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics leadership that includes defining, executing, and stabilizing major improvements
Travel up to 30%
Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
