Manufacturing - Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) at Sonoco. Sonoco is a global packaging solutions company with a history dating to 1899 and a culture built on the belief that People Build Businesses. ELP is a full-time program for recent graduates designed to develop future leaders through hands-on experience, leadership development, coaching, and cross-functional exposure over 24 months. Grounded in our mission to empower emerging leaders to excel as leaders, teammates, and followers who consistently do the right thing, ELP offers a program that goes beyond a traditional first job. Associates gain hands-on experience, personalized development, and connections with other emerging leaders across the company while shaping their careers across Sonoco’s diverse portfolio. Responsibilities / What you will do
Participate in technical skills training covering Safety, Quality, Scheduling, and Customer satisfaction Engage in leadership training focused on Supervisory skills, Performance Management, and Mentorship Develop business insights in areas such as Accountability, Execution, Risk Taking, and Budgeting Integrate into Sonoco culture through communication, collaboration, and innovation Qualifications
Have or will obtain a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, Technology or Business by December 2025 or May 2026 Previous internship experience (preferably in Manufacturing or a related functional area) Proven leadership experience Desire to work in a Manufacturing environment Technical aptitude Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills All ELP Associates must be open to relocation (immediately or in the future) and be willing to work rotating or late shifts. Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for Non-Technical Degrees is between $67,000 and $70,000; for Technical Degrees it is between $76,000 and $82,500. Sonoco offers a comprehensive total rewards package, including competitive pay and benefits. Benefits may vary by location and employment type. Benefits commonly include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, wellbeing resources, paid time off and holidays, life and disability insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
