Description SHINE Technologies is seeking a Commissioning Manager who will oversee the planning and execution of facility commissioning activities at a new isotope production facility in Janesville, Wisconsin. This first-of-a-kind NRC regulated nuclear facility is under construction, with ongoing testing activities. The Commissioning Manager will develop strategies, coordinate activities, and ensure the successful completion of testing and validation, transitioning the facility to regular operations.
Compensation The base salary range is $123,000 - $165,000 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Salaries are role, level, and location-dependent.
Duties and Responsibilities
Promote a safe work environment and safety culture.
Develop and manage detailed plans and schedules for commissioning all facility systems before NRC Operating License receipt, and for initial start-up testing post-licensing.
Manage, hire, and train staff.
Coordinate with construction and operations teams for seamless transition from construction to operations.
Provide daily management of commissioning activities.
Work with construction, vendors, and engineering to resolve technical issues during testing.
Ensure validation activities are completed accurately with quality assurance teams.
Update stakeholders regularly, lead coordination meetings, and ensure schedule adherence.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
At least 8 years of experience in facility commissioning, start-up, operations, construction, or engineering.
Experience in commissioning management, project management, or construction management is highly desirable.
Understanding of nuclear facility principles and operations.
Experience in regulated environments such as nuclear or cGMP facilities preferred.
Excellent communication, conflict, and change management skills.
Strong attention to detail and task management skills.
Ability to work safely in industrial and radiation environments.
Availability for non-standard hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Eligibility depends on qualifying for access to US export-controlled information and meeting NRC requirements for Safeguards Information access, including background checks and drug screening.
