Service Center Operations Supervisor

Overview
As a Service Center Operations Supervisor at Ryerson, you will be responsible for directing the efficient function of plant operations including but not limited to production equipment, shipping, receiving, inventory, and related processes. Responsibilities
Understands production goals and implements actions necessary to meet objectives Provides leadership to direct reports; coaches and counsels employees Facilitates problem solving and team building activities Participates in Performance Management Process (PMP) Carries out and supports company policies, goals and objectives Understands quality goals and implements actions necessary to meet goals and ISO 9000 standards Reviews plant supply inventory and advises purchasing when levels are low Ensures training is effectively carried out and oversees completion of training checklists Communicates with other departments within the facility, as well as other locations Understands customer requirements and participates in decisions regarding suitability of material and processing equipment Provides direction and coaching in safe work practices; supports safety goals Reviews unsafe conditions and ensures corrective actions are carried out to eliminate workplace hazards Follows and enforces collective bargaining agreement (CBA) and Memorandum of Agreement All other duties as assigned or as responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice Qualifications
