Job Summary
Location: 1201 E Cerritos, Anaheim, CA 92805. Shift: 8 hr – 1st Shift (United States of America). The objective of the Altium Packaging DOD SkillBridge program is to provide service members with opportunities to transition into the civilian workforce, and to develop a robust talent pipeline within our manufacturing network.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, plant blow mold equipment, and facility systems.
Adhere to the company Good Manufacturing Practices and implement industry best practices.
Install, adjust, and repair blow mold, trimmers, palletizer, and material handling equipment.
Perform mold, neck tooling changes, pin, and other equipment changes.
Replace motors and basic instrumentation.
Inspect and replace pneumatic and hydraulic hoses.
Inspect, rebuild, and replace valves and pumps.
Maintain machines in optimal processing conditions.
Diagnose root causes and repair blow mold, baggers, and support equipment.
Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other related equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance and repair on facility systems such as compressors, chillers, HVAC, and related equipment.
MAY operate blow mold or injection machines.
Communicate with other departments on a frequent basis.
Attend shift start meetings and participate in team work processes.
MAY interact with contractors, vendors, and external support personnel.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan, schedule, track, and execute 100% of maintenance activities.
Apply continuous improvement tools and methodologies to reduce maintenance-related losses, including equipment downtime, breakdowns, and maintenance costs.
Support initiatives and projects to improve equipment availability and reliability through data-driven maintenance strategies.
Qualifications
Basic mathematical skills.
Basic computer skills.
Basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
Excellent attention to detail.
2+ years maintenance experience in the manufacturing industry (preferred).
Prior welding and fabrication experience (preferred).
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education (required).
OSHA Forklift certification (preferred).
Physical Demands The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment The work environment is typically loud in a production setting; temperatures can fluctuate between hot and cold. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
