Amazon . The Sr. Maintenance Manager (Sr. MM) will lead a site-based maintenance team. The team is comprised of a Maintenance Manager, Area Maintenance Managers and maintenance technicians reporting to the Regional Maintenance Manager. The primary responsibilities are to lead a large maintenance team that maximizes equipment uptime, executes equipment maintenance and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. The successful candidate will be a highly experienced subject matter expert in maintenance, workplace safety, and data-driven management and leadership. A background in material handling equipment systems/applications, packaging automation, distribution processes and storage systems is a plus. The candidate must be a self-starter, capable of managing multiple complex projects, influencing and developing relationships at all organization levels, and overseeing the maintenance acceptance of commissioning large-scale, complex projects. The individual will provide technical leadership and mentoring to a maintenance team of at least 80 people. Key Responsibilities Include

Provide leadership, mentor and manage site-based Maintenance Managers and Area Maintenance Manager in Amazon’s North American Fulfillment Network. Develop Maintenance Department business plans and provide guidance for successful implementation. Develop and implement Reliability plans to increase facility uptime. Drive maintenance best practices: innovate, document, improve work methods, standardize, ensure safe work practices, train, commission equipment, collect, measure, and analyze KPIs to improve processes and Amazon customer experience. Advise senior leadership on maintenance and equipment end-of-life issues using ROI and other analytical techniques. Provide oversight for budget development and execution, and capital planning. Help manage vendor support and equipment relationships and leverage Amazon’s network to maximize economies of scale. Monitor, audit and enforce maintenance execution and safe work practices; institute and audit training drills across the network. Leverage the entire maintenance team for the North American network. Develop and manage budget and contract documents including RFPs, change orders, purchase orders, and invoicing. Provide Fulfillment Center General Managers with visibility over maintenance conduct in their centers. Recruit, interview, and hire high-potential talent in Maintenance Manager and Area Manager roles. Help create a world-class Maintenance organization. Basic Qualifications

10+ years of experience managing large complex facilities organizations. Bachelor's degree or above in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent; or Associate's degree or above with experience working for Amazon or an Amazon subsidiary or affiliate. Experience managing large teams of 150 people or more. 5+ years of change management experience. 7+ years of employee and performance management experience. Preferred Qualifications

Experience and strong technical background in automated or non-automated material handling equipment. Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts. Knowledge of and proficiency in Excel and SQL. MBA or Six Sigma Black Belt. Certification such as Professional Engineer (PE), LEED, or Certified Construction Manager (CCM). The base pay for this position ranges from $130,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $216,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors including location and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
