Supervisor, Production (2nd or 3rd shift) Production Supervisor (Assembly, Shipping & Receiving, Machining Areas) at ITT Inc. 2nd or 3rd shift Monday – Friday 3:30pm-12:00am. Manage 20 direct reports and support efficient production.

Position Overview Supervise on‑floor production, drive safety, quality, and on‑time delivery, and manage personnel in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Management – ensure compliance with PPE, safety procedures, and investigate incidents.

Policy & Employee Management – select, place, and train employees; enforce company rules and union agreements.

Time & Attendance – track labor, optimize overtime, and maintain department spending within budget.

Productivity Management – develop daily production plans, conduct 6S observations, and improve workflow.

Quality – inspect finished product and perform dimensional checks with calipers, micrometers, CMM, and profilometers.

On‑Time Delivery – schedule, dispatch, and support scheduling execution to meet customer requirements.

Specific Duties

Assist Director of Operations to achieve plant‑wide goals by managing workforce and assigning daily job assignments.

Inspect completed materials with hand inspection equipment.

Enforce company rules and regulations.

Staff the department in collaboration with HR and union representatives.

Provide technical guidance to personnel.

Correct behavioral risks immediately and write up accident reports.

Improve workplace 6S through daily observations and improvements.

Assign work daily and move labor to operations necessary to support customer requirements.

Attend shift start‑up Gemba walks.

Track labor and optimize straight and overtime hours.

Manage department spending within budget.

Develop and follow a daily production plan that supports customer needs.

Ensure employees are properly trained and submit all training records.

Maintain visual displays of work group activity and goals.

Address underperformance/workmanship issues with coaching, counseling, and disciplinary procedures.

Assist in make‑up of schedule; direct and guide dispatching and schedule execution.

Support, Assist, and Lead Lean initiatives.

Establish and support team atmosphere within assigned area.

Cross‑train and create a flexible workforce.

Conduct team meetings with all direct reports reviewing safety and productivity goals.

Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.

Minimum 10 years of production experience and management of assembly areas.

3‑5 years of supervisory experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.

Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and standard work.

Preferred experience managing machining areas.

Union experience preferred.

The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors such as candidate experience, qualifications, location, and market and business considerations.

Annual Salary Range $90,600 to $135,400 plus benefits and incentive plans.
