The Help Desk Support Specialist is responsible for providing maintenance of the client computer and device environment (Mac, PC, iPhone & iPad) by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal IT Helpdesk. They will be responsible for administration and internal support of the Company’s PCs, printers, servers, and related equipment. Tasks include end user support, configuration management, performing maintenance, upgrades, and configurations. If you have a MIS/Computer Science degree or applicable training, have desk support experience and love Apple products, we encourage you to apply!

REQUIREMENTS

Strong knowledge of Apple systems, computers, laptops, mobile devices

Ability to perform effective hands‑on technical support and can be a resource to anyone who needs technical aid

Has excellent understanding of network design standards and can effectively aid the Systems Administrator to operate, administer and maintain network and server systems by Apple, Microsoft, UNIX, Linux, Cisco, HD, and Others

Understands network security and can implement standards based on organizational policies and controls

Has strong demonstrated understanding of additional network standards such as DNS, DHCP, LDAP, VLAN, Web Proxies, Firewalls, NAT, SSH, Telnet

Can aid the Systems Administrator in operation, setup, configuration, and troubleshooting

VMware vSphere, VMware ESXi, Microsoft Windows, RedHat Linux, and Apple macOS (Macintosh) systems

Understands the importance of backing up systems and proper maintenance of in production systems

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

BS/BA in Information Technology or Computer Science is preferred

Certification (CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ etc.) or relevant accreditations or

certifications are a plus

Related experience preferred

Proven experience in a Help Desk role or similar role preferred

Strong communication (verbal and written) along with strong organizational skill are required
