Senior Interim Lead - Procurement Diagnostic

About the assignment:
Enabling Procurement (EP) seeks a senior-level consultant to lead a rapid spend diagnostic for a multi‑site European veterinary clinic group. You’ll develop a credible savings plan, build trust with clinical and operations leaders, and set up a smooth transition into implementation.
Responsibilities
Conduct category deep dives medical & clinical consumables, pharmaceuticals & veterinary supplies, and indirects such as biohazard disposal, facilities, cleaning, distribution, and energy.
Assess levers: competitive landscape, formulary standardisation/SKU rationalisation, national vs regional consolidation, direct‑from‑manufacturer vs distributor, framework agreements, e‑sourcing, maintenance & uptime SLAs, lease vs buy.
Quantify a 12–24‑month savings pipeline with a wave plan, risks, and governance.
Run Steering Committees with CFO/COO/clinical leadership.
Prepare the implementation plan and transition.
Deliver using EP’s diagnostic methodology.
Qualifications
Extensive procurement consulting experience leading diagnostics and cost‑reduction programs, preferably in multi‑site healthcare/hospital settings.
Proven stakeholder influence with clinical and executive leaders; comfortable leading independently.
Deep familiarity with clinical supply chains and service & maintenance contracts; able to challenge distributor models.
Proficiency with advanced Excel, e‑sourcing/RFx, quick contract review; outcome‑focused approach.
