The Store Consultant consistently delivers a positive customer experience to all customers, utilizing consultative skills to anticipate needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. This customer‑service‑focused team member is knowledgeable in all areas of the Store’s business, including print, signs & graphics, and shipping, and is responsible for taking orders, coordinating store activities, providing pricing and product information, and recommending appropriate FedEx Office products and services.

Responsibilities

Assist in the training of store team members and follow supervisor instructions.

Demonstrate consultative behaviors to understand each customer’s individualized needs.

Provide expertise in printing, signs & graphics, and shipping product lines and recommend appropriate products and services.

Use consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and find solutions to meet those needs.

Resolve customer problems quickly and to their satisfaction.

Takes complex customer orders using order systems and provides accurate pricing information.

Assembles parcels and prepares goods for shipping by wrapping items, weighing packages, and affixing labels.

Sets up and operates printing, binding and other related equipment using customer supplied media and documents.

Maintains a safe, clean and orderly retail store.

Ensures confidentiality of customer data and careful handling of documents, media and packages.

Processes financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal (POS), including handling cash and making change.

Clears, repairs, and stocks all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies to provide optimal performance and availability.

Stays current on retail store merchandising materials and ensures proper display of all product and signage.

Performs multiple tasks at the same time and looks for opportunities to improve knowledge and skills.

Operates with minimal supervision and adheres to all FedEx Office team member and retail store standards, as outlined in the team member handbook.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent education.

6+ months of specialized experience in retail customer service.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods.

Ability to move and lift 55 pounds.

Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees on a consistent basis.

Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members.

Ability to work with minimal supervision and report regularly to maintain established business hours.

Pay $22.10 - $25.97/hr.
