Position Overview
The Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) Program at Merrimack College invites applications for the position of Adjunct Lecturer for the Summer 2024, Fall 2024, and/or Spring 2025 semesters. The successful candidate will provide formal learning in online and/or on‑campus CMHC programs, primarily responsible for delivering instructional material and managing courses, including assessments and grading. Graduate Courses
Counseling Skills & Techniques Human Growth & Development Career and College Counseling Trauma & Crisis Intervention Play and Expressive Art Therapy Ethics & Legal Issues in Counseling Clinical Practice in Behavioral Health Diagnosis and Treatment Planning LGBTQI+ Affirmative Counseling Counseling Theory Practicum, Internship I, and Internship II Psychological Assessment Evaluation and Treatment of Addictions Teaching Periods
Fall: 15 weeks Spring: 15 weeks Summer 2024: Summer 1 (5/20 – 6/28), Summer 2 (7/8 – 8/16), Summer 3 (5/20 – 8/16) Qualifications
Earned doctorate (Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D.) or advanced doctorate candidate in Counseling, Counselor Education, Counseling Psychology, or related field; or a Master’s degree in Counseling (or related field) with at least 8–10 years of professional clinical practice experience. Demonstrated commitment to infusing multicultural content and social justice principles in curriculum and training. Licensure as a mental health counselor with a minimum of 8 years of professional clinical practice experience after licensure (or license‑eligible/licensed psychologist). Application Materials
