JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education : Must be licensed in Radiologic Technology and registered in ARRT. Experience : Registry eligible or enrolled in an accredited radiologic technology program. Must meet ARDMS or CCI requirements for registry eligibility, usually 2 years of experience or a graduate from an accredited school of technology. Physical : This is a safety-sensitive position. Please see the St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy for further information. Exposure to radiological hazards at occupational levels. Normal hospital environment. Close eye work. Hearing within normal range. Oral communication. Operates x-ray equipment, computer, life support, film processing equipment. Frequent exposure to unpleasant odors. Ability to distinguish smells and temperatures by touch and proximity. Close visual acuity to distinguish color changes and see in dark environments. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs, carrying up to 40 lbs, and pushing/pulling up to 350 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. JOB SUMMARY
Performs a variety of technician functions required for the Cath Lab, or Special Procedures, and Neuro Intervention under the direction of the Cardiologist, Radiologist, Neurologist, and the supervision of the Manager – Vascular Imaging. Requires independent judgment, integrity, and initiative. Under the direction of a physician trained in ultrasound and the department manager, performs cardiac, peripheral vascular, and Neurointerventional ultrasound procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
