Modesto, CA Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy. At least one year of experience in a school setting or serving school-aged students with disabilities. A Master’s degree in physical therapy. Valid physical therapy license from the State of California. Registration with the American Physical Therapy Board of California. Valid driver’s license. Proof of insurance if using your own vehicle. Job Description: Work with students with disabilities and serious health impairments to analyze risk and problem-solve effectively. Assess students' orthopedic status, quality of movement, postural control, and gross motor functioning. Establish realistic goals and design and implement a program for each student. Monitor and assess physical therapy services and programs for educational effectiveness and operational efficiency. Assist in the development of students' IEPs, including goal development. Attend meetings and assist IEP teams in identifying the physical therapy needs of the students. Provide consultative assistance and training to the classroom teacher and other staff. Communicate with outside service providers and/or medical personnel about students' progress. Plan and conduct a system of continuous evaluation of each student's progress. Recommend adjustments in the school environment when needed. Train staff to lift, move, and position students with disabilities up to age 22. Benefits: Lucrative pay! Long-term contract!
