The Vascular and Neuro Interventional radiologists of the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MIR) at Barnes-Jewish Hospital pioneered, and are responsible for, many radiologic milestones. These two distinct radiological clinical service lines are organized as follows: Interventional Radiology, includes a team of close-knit clinical specialists who perform highly specialized vascular and interventional procedures, including most types of angiographic studies, nonvascular interventions, intra-vascular thrombolysis and central venous catheter placements. Neuroradiology comprises highly trained Radiologists, Radiologic Technologists and Registered Nurses who work as a team to perform complex procedures such as cerebral angiography, myelography, stent placements and aneurysm coilings and embolizations. The Radiology Department at the Washington University Medical Center is regarded as one of the top five in the United States and performs over 453,000 diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures annually. Role Purpose Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control. Responsibilities

Prepare patient and equipment for procedures. Perform studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other sites as required by the work area. Minimum Requirements

Education Associate or Trade School Equivalent Experience No Experience Licenses & Certifications IEMA - Illinois only, exclude MRI RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES Preferred Qualifications

No IR Tech experience necessary; willing to train Upcoming graduation radiology students, MR/CT/RT/X-ray and related backgrounds may be a fit Position Details

Day Shift : 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week (7:30am – 6:00pm) Weekend & Call Rotation : Rotating schedule involving 3-4 weekends per year, with paid on-call compensation — even if you're not called in Extra Pay & Incentives Premium pay for working weekends and call shifts Additional shift differential for evening and weekend hours 5% Advanced Modality Differential — earn more for your specialized skills Call Schedule: Friday 6pm – Saturday 8am Saturday 4pm – Monday 7:30am Occurs every 10th or 11th weekend, providing predictable time off and extra income Work in a NEW State-of-the-Art Facility (Siemens Fluoro units, GE Ultrasound, Epic) Works independently with a multidisciplinary team performing fluoroscopic imaging procedures Prepares patient and equipment for procedures while assisting the radiologist Performs image post processing and circulating procedures Why Join Us?
