The Department of Immunobiology is seeking highly motivated applicants for a Postdoctoral Research Associate I position to be co-mentored by Drs. Koenraad Van Doorslaer and Michael Kuhns. This challenging position requires a high level of enthusiasm, dedication, and drive for applicants interested in conducting evolutionary guided research into the molecular mechanisms of T-Cell activation and cell fate decisions (pubmed search: Van Doorslaer K, Kuhns MS). click here . Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct independent experiments and computational analysis, evaluate the data, and keep appropriate records of all research activities. Read the literature, participate in scientific discussions with other members of the lab, and attend mandatory lab meetings. Perform assigned lab duties to assist in the maintenance of stock reagents or the general operation of the lab, and various other duties or projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
PhD in biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology, immunology, virology, or related fields. Experience with modern molecular biology, biochemistry, and tissue culture techniques. Experience working with basic immunological concepts. Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with live cell fluorescent imaging. Experience working with Python, R, and/or command line applications. Details
