Work Shift Job Description Multi-modality technologist provides quality imaging and patient care within two or more imaging modalities. Technologist must be able to effectively explain the procedures to the patient and be sure they are competent in the procedure being performed. Technologist must produce images for the interpretation, and or request of, a licensed practitioner.
Education Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology
Experience 2-4 years
License/Certification
Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
Additional Job Description MUSC Health Black River Medical Center supports a patient-and family-centered approach to care. Family members are not considered visitors to a loved one who is hospitalized. They are key participants in support, decision-making, and care. We do not have visiting hour restrictions and two people are always welcome at the bedside 24 hours a day. Residents benefit from access to a full range of modern diagnostic and interventional capabilities, including:

25 inpatient beds
Five observation beds
Two operating rooms
16 emergency treatment areas
CT scanner
MRI
Nuclear medicine
Mammography
General radiology department
