Responsibilities
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Practice Manager with the day-to-day clinical operations of the unit, including supervision of the clinical area and support staff (nurses, MAs, sonographers, phlebotomists). Serve as a liaison between the patient access and clinical area, mediating and managing provider and staff concerns, and maintaining a safe environment. Oversee the day-to-day clinical patient area and support teams in collaboration with the Patient Access Supervisor to provide care to patients. Ensure clinic locations comply with all federal, state, and local rules and regulations (HIPAA, CMS, DOH). Enforce staff adherence to Women’s Care policies and procedures. Perform general nursing care to patients, administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards, and aid providers during examinations, procedures, and treatment of patients as necessary. Ensure the unit and/or staff achieves/maintains all required certifications (MA, AIUM). Assist the Practice Manager in recruiting clinical support staff. Responsible for training and development of all clinical support staff, monitor performance, and provide feedback as necessary. Maintain a safe environment in accordance with clinical standards, Women’s Care policies, and safety regulations. Manage ordering, control, and administration of all medications (routine, sample, controlled, and procedural). Conduct quarterly drills and staff meetings. Ensure all equipment is ready for use and maintained according to manufacturer instructions and inspected annually. Mitigate risk by identifying potential problems, conducting investigations of any occurrences, and implementing corrective actions, as warranted. Complete annual, quarterly, and monthly audits of licenses, permits, eCW tasks, training requirements, and clinical logs. Provide ongoing staff development and evaluate efficacy. Meet with medical providers and the Practice Manager as necessary to address clinical issues and processes. Manage staff performance and evaluations including supervising, coaching, and disciplinary action of clinical support staff. Establish par level for clinical supplies and monitor inventory, implementing measures to control expenditures. Respond to patient grievances/concerns and escalate to the Practice Manager as necessary. Demonstrate and embody the Women’s Care mission and core values. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse license in the state of FL. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. Minimum 2 years OB/GYN office or Maternal Care Unit experience. 2-3 years leadership experience. Current BLS certification. Knowledge of medical office protocols, procedures, and processes (universal precautions, infection control, risk management, etc.). Experience with eClinicalWorks preferred but must be proficient with Electronic Health Records (EHR). Computer proficiency (including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
