2nd Shift (Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM) Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
CNC Machinist
to join our 2nd shift team in a fast-paced
medical device manufacturing environment . This role requires hands-on operation of
Citizen and Swiss screw machines , as well as providing
machinist-level technical support
to ensure optimal performance, quality, and efficiency of production processes. Key Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot
Citizen and Swiss-type CNC screw machines . Perform routine and complex machining tasks to produce precision components for medical devices. Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards. Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges). Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining issues and improve processes. Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on CNC equipment. Document production activities, machine settings, and quality checks accurately. Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices. Train and mentor junior machinists or operators as needed. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining preferred. Minimum
3 years of experience
operating
Citizen and/or Swiss screw machines . Prior experience in
medical device manufacturing
or other regulated industries (ISO 13485, FDA) strongly preferred. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T. Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine setup. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a cleanroom or controlled environment. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts. Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Manual dexterity and visual acuity for precision work. Benefits
