IT Representative
, under direct supervision, will monitor and respond to network, computing hardware, and software problems reported by end users. They will act as the initial contact for all application systems problems, analyzing, debugging, testing, and documenting problems or recommending solutions. They will be responsible for assisting with the installation of workstations and associated hardware and solving basic problems. Our IT Representative must embody Pelican’s Core Values and provide excellent service in all that they do.
A Day in the Life of an IT Representative
INCLUDES: Acting as a technical liaison between computer systems users, vendors, and IT. Assisting in application enhancements to existing computer systems. Serving as an information resource for staff users, including determination of the most appropriate date source, providing or arranging application-based report writing, or educating users to retrieve the information themselves. Assigning technical aspects of conversions, file expansions, and interfaces. Remain knowledgeable of operations and the computer systems within client departments to provide comprehensive support. Remains on-call as needed and determined by IT Management. IT Representative Skills and qualifications include
: 1 year of experience in help desk tracking, Information Technology functions, or related functions. 2-year college degree in Information Technology or completion of a specialized study at a business school related to Information Technology.
Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Must be able to use Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams without training. Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills. Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and member service skills. Other things you may want to know about this position: Work Schedule
Monday – Friday
7:00 am – 5:00 pm, with some flexibility.
Overtime may be required as needed to support business operations.
Travel
Travel is required to branches as needed in this position.

Work will be based at our beautiful Corporate Campus located at 2675 O'Neal Lane Baton Rouge, LA 70816
