The maintenance mechanic will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing scheduled/unscheduled maintenance on various types of production equipment. Dismantling, moving, and installing machinery as required. Compliance with company operating, safety and housekeeping procedures, practices, and policies.

What Youll Need to Be Successful

High School or trade school graduate or equivalent GED with 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Able to read and write; able to understand policies, manufacturing orders (MOs), Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs), and other work instructions. Basic math and computer skills.

Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, mill machines, and machine shop equipment. Able to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment.

Preferred knowledge and certification in electrical and wiring with an E2 license. Experience troubleshooting PLCs and electrical controls.

Knowledge of fabrication and blueprinting skills is a plus, with experience in part creation for machine maintenance.

Able to effectively communicate for collaboration of work and delivery of supplies to and from machine as needed.

Excellent mechanical ability and manual dexterity. Must be able to work standing or walking most of the workday and able to frequently lift 45+ pounds. Able to work with sharp tools and wear hearing protection as required.

How You Will Make an Impact

Analyze mechanical, electrical, and operational problems on assigned equipment; plan for and take corrective action.

Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to ensure equipment maintains maximum production and quality standards.

Notify maintenance department manager and operations supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions, corrective action taken, and of quality problems or supplies needed.

Perform Scheduled Maintenance and review production schedule; assist with changeovers when necessary.

Test equipment to check operation; clear jams and set aside product for inspection and rework; prove out equipment function after repairs, changeovers, or extended downtime.

Make preventative maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment; report findings to supervisor and take appropriate action.

Examine defects and analyze spoilage cases; where possible, take corrective action. Analyze and record causes of production delays on daily production report.

Read and interpret blueprints to plan setup and operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, saws, and presses; plan setup and operate typical machine tools, producing parts to close tolerances and company specifications.

Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions Applicants must be comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Hearing protection and steel-toed shoes are required. Safety, hygiene, and cleanliness are strictly enforced. Applicants must be able to engage in periods of long standing and walking, and perform consistent lifting of up to 50 lbs.

Compensation & Benefits Compensation Range: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour, consistent with applicable law; compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position. ACR reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
