Be responsible for equipment mechanics and the maintenance of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and welding. Maintain equipment including excavators, loaders, backhoes, blades, semis, off-road haul trucks, pickups, pumps, and generators. Perform most minor repairs in the field and major work in the shop. Operate and maintain a company provided medium-duty mechanic truck or 2 ton pickup with service bed and perform other duties as assigned. Monitor and perform routine scheduled maintenance. Collaborate with all departments to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. Meet the physical requirements of the role (walking, standing, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting over 40 lbs). Adhere to salaried position expectations and time management. Qualifications
10+ years related equipment repair, servicing and maintenance experience minimum. Shop management experience is a plus. Your own tools, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record. Formal diesel mechanic training that includes maintenance and repair of hydraulic and electrical systems. Class A driver’s license and certified welding experience preferred. Experience with excavators, loaders, back hoes, blades, scrapers, dump trucks, semis and off-road trucks as well as pickups, pumps, and generators. Maintenance on mixed fleet of heavy construction equipment. Time management skills greatly desired. Additional Information
