We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tech Designer, Denim to join our apparel design team. The Tech Design Manager will be responsible for managing the technical design process for our apparel products, ensuring that they meet quality standards, fit specifications, and design requirements.
Responsibilities
Responsible for fit, construction, quality, and consistency of 5‑pkt denim and fashion denim/wovens
Work closely with Technical Team, Designers, and Product Development on fit issues from development to bulk approvals
Manage and facilitate fit sessions independently with fit models
Knowledge and ability to lead fittings and make decisions independently
Maintain and enter specs and fit comments in Excel and PLM system
Write fit comments with specs and fit corrections; work with Director/Senior Manager on correcting patterns when needed
Maintain fit trackers from development to bulk approval
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field
5+ years in technical design
Must have some denim experience
Strong computer skills including Adobe Illustrator, MS Word, and Excel
Comprehensive knowledge of fit, balance, pattern grading, garment construction/production, fabrics, and fabric performance
Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing with all levels of management
Meets deadlines, prioritises appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure
Is accountable for results, approaches obstacles proactively, and looks for ways to resolve problems and issues while delivering results
Ability to reprioritise projects
Independent, self‑motivated, team player
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Textile Engineering, or related field
7+ years of experience
Proven experience in technical design for apparel products, with a focus on fit, construction, and quality
Strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, and fit requirements
Experience with technical design software and tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Gerber Technology)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
Leadership skills to manage a team of technical designers and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in the apparel industry, preferably in a managerial or leadership role
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to apparel technical design
Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) software for apparel design and development
Please note that this role requires to be onsite four days a week.
