Program Details: The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, based in Rockledge, FL, offers expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing. Role Description: Perform complex operations supporting aircraft maintenance, ensuring aircraft airworthiness and compliance with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements. Key Responsibilities: Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structural components such as cowlings and functional parts. Perform rigging, surface controls, plumbing, and hydraulic system tasks. Inspect engines and components for airworthiness. Access aircraft via sitting, stooping, bending, crawling, crouching, and climbing to perform repairs and replacements. Remove and install engines, props, rotor blades, transmissions, flight controls, and other components. Interpret OEM and maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and related documentation for repairs and modifications. Assess aircraft and component airworthiness. Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical wiring and related parts. Conduct various inspections including progressive, periodic, and calendar/hourly checks. Service aircraft systems including hydraulic, engines, lubrication, fueling, etc. Coordinate with Production Control, customers, and manufacturers regarding airworthiness and operational issues. Maintain maintenance documentation per program procedures, including electronic entries. Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings or equivalent. Effective communication skills in English; Spanish Level II preferred for LATAM locations. Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals and technical data. Military or civilian experience with CMF 15 aviation MOS series or equivalent. At least 8 years of aircraft maintenance experience on specific aircraft. Experience with blueprint reading, diagrams, and technical manuals. Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing, crawling, and bending. Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Security Clearance or MRPT. Preferred: Strong electrical and avionics background.
