Dane Street is an Independent Review Organization and a national provider of Utilization Review services (among other offerings). We are expanding our physician panel, resulting in opportunities for non-traditional physician work and supplemental income.
This is a telework opportunity for physicians, providing a caseload customized to your schedule.
Our physician panel consists of independent contract reviewers (1099) compensated on a per-case basis.
We are looking for physicians with active
Texas Licenses
in the following specialties to review the medical necessity of treatment requests and, in appeals, the medical necessity of previously denied services: Neurological Surgery The average time spent on most reviews is 15-20 minutes, enabling you to complete several cases within an hour. Training and onboarding can be completed in less than one week. You can start earning compensation for reviews while maintaining your active practice. Current, unrestricted Texas Medical License Active Practice Board Certification Benefits include: Independent consultant role offering schedule flexibility and predictable work hours. You choose services and case types, dictate volume, and work based on your availability. No doctor/patient relationship is established; these are advisory-only opinions. Typical turnaround time (TAT) is 1-5 business days, depending on the review level. Same-day cases are rare but possible. We coordinate all administrative tasks to ensure your focus remains on clinical decision-making. We provide a streamlined case flow and a user-friendly work portal, facilitating communication, organizing medical records, supporting administrative processes, and ensuring timely, quality determinations/reports. Medical records and treatment guidelines used for determinations are provided in an easy, click-to-view format. Peer-to-peer calls, when necessary (e.g., adverse determinations), are coordinated by Dane Street’s peer coordinators. Initial training and ongoing support are provided to assist you in completing reviews.
