As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will diagnose, treat, and manage communication and swallowing disorders across all age groups. Your role involves assessing speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing abilities and designing appropriate interventions. Your primary responsibilities include: Assessment and Diagnosis:
Conduct evaluations using standardized assessments, observations, and diagnostic tools to identify communication challenges and determine severity. Treatment Planning and Intervention:
Create individualized treatment plans and deliver evidence-based therapy to improve speech, language, voice, and swallowing functions. Therapeutic Interventions:
Implement therapy techniques such as articulation drills, language exercises, voice therapy, and fluency strategies, providing personalized feedback. Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC):
Assess and implement AAC systems to support individuals with severe communication impairments, collaborating with families and caregivers. Dysphagia Management:
Evaluate and treat swallowing disorders to ensure safe and effective swallowing, preventing aspiration and enhancing nutritional intake. Qualifications
Master's Degree in an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program. Current license/certification in the practicing state.
