Overview

Our client is a global packaging leader seeking an injection molding process engineer. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: Qualifications

MS in Plastics Engineering, B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, or an Associate degree and/or five years related experience. Knowledge base should include machine and tool design, processor controls, fluid power, kinematics, plastic properties, and heat transfer. A minimum of three years’ experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably plastic processing. Ability to use statistical process control and other quality tools to improve processes and product quality, cut costs, and increase speeds. Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office suite, AutoCAD, and SPC software. Strong interpersonal and teaming skills, the ability to motivate others with enthusiasm and drive, and excellent organizational skills; able to understand complex production processes. Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, using polypropylene and polyethylene base blends. Broad knowledge of injection molding machines (hydraulic and electric), auxiliary equipment, and raw materials used in the injection process. High level of understanding, experience, and troubleshooting knowledge of high-speed injection molding manufacturing operations. Strong knowledge of mechanical principles and the ability to visualize arrangements and relationships to static or moving parts and assemblies as represented in blueprints and diagrams. Familiarity with downstream auxiliary equipment such as high-speed vision systems, control systems, sensors, conveyors, robotics, parts handling, slitting/scoring machines, lining machinery, part sorters, and raw material delivery systems. General knowledge of the interface of auxiliary equipment with other devices for improved operating efficiencies. How to apply: Apply online
