MWH Treatment
MWH have now been awarded Projects at Dukinfield, Aston-Under-Lyne, Arnfield, Godley, Hyde and Wigan and Skelmersdale across the AMP8 Framework Agreement with United Utilities. We are looking to strengthen our Construction and Project delivery teams with Senior Construction Managers assigned to Projects £50-£100M.
Reporting to the Head of Construction or the Regional Construction Manager, you will lead and advise the site team across all construction, supervision and project delivery. You will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution and control of all construction operations on a major project or across multiple contracts. Ensuring SHEQ, programme, staff requirements are met, along with driving improvements in project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Work with the wider project discipline leads to allocate project staff, ensuring all are adequately resourced, to successfully deliver the work scope. Responsible and accountable for all non-working supervision, civils, mechanical, electrical and commissioning site activities. Both directly employed or provided by the supply chain. All skill sets need to be assessed and allocated accordingly. Advise and review on all construction operations, delivery, buildability and programme. Ensuring all aspects are in line with the HSEQ requirements. Risk and review management, ensuring all operations are assessed, with direct cost, programme and risks fully understood. Ensure all subcontractors are managed, supervised and are aligned to our expectations and standards. Checking that the correct staff and skill sets are provided to deliver the subcontract work scope, safely and on programme. Support, manage and supervise direct labour requirements. Agree and sign off any self-delivery proposals over and above the required general attendance labour. Ensure direct cost bottom up build ups are monitored and reviewed. Support compliance and performance delivery as required. Overview project progress and programme performance. Assist the project HSEQ and Operational teams in any investigations and reports. Fact findings, lessons learnt, agree and implement any changes. Assist and support the Project Lead Temporary Works Coordinator, helping to ensure TW are planned, managed, supervised and reviewed accordingly. Assist and support with the Project Lifting AP, ensuring all lifting operations are planned, managed, supervised and reviewed according. Assess individual performance, promote and carry out Personal Development Reviews (PDR’s). Essential Requirements
Extensive experience in the construction industry, leading, managing and supervising operations across multiple projects, including major project experience. Extensive experience in project delivery and leading supervision on major civil engineering activities and temporary works. Excellent oral and written communicator CSCS level 6 Black card or similar CITB Temporary Works Co-Ordinator Course or similar. IOSH Managing Safety or similar. Strategic, operational, technical and management skills Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety Desirable Requirements
Experience in water and wastewater treatment plants. Lifting operations qualifications, CPSC Management of Lifting Operations AP Confined spare (medium/high risk). Experience in water and waste water treatment plants SMSTS / IOSH CSCS Level 6+
