Training : Training will be at the Aurora location until the Denver location opens late 2025. Pay and Location : Pay Rate: $22.00 - $34.04 per hour. Pay is dependent on education and experience. Learns and understands how to use the work order system; completes documents and parts orders accurately and timely; identifies parts for return promptly Works effectively with others in the shop and accepts technical advice from more experienced colleagues Communicates with Shop Leads, Shop Coordinators and Managers to ensure problems, nature of repair, and status are understood and followed up on Maintains required safety practices and quality housekeeping in the work area Performs work to Service Department quality standards within allowed time Reads and follows the manufacturers’ Operation and Maintenance Manual per machine type Inspects equipment and maintains it to ensure safe operation Understands operation, function, specifications, capabilities and controls of rental equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications Inspects machines returned from rental for customer damage and notifies supervisors of findings Adheres to manager and lead mechanic directions regarding repairs and service calls Performs basic troubleshooting and diagnosing of equipment malfunctions with supervision Assists in rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining equipment and components Attends training as requested Assumes yard duties as needed; loads/unloads equipment and cleans returned rental equipment with a pressure washer Works overtime as required by workload and customer needs Other duties as assigned by manager Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Graduation from a technical school with emphasis on diesel engine preferred Heavy equipment, engine, or mechanical repair experience 1+ years administrative/clerical experience 1+ years customer service experience Physical Demands & Competencies Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands and hearing Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, etc. Heavy work involving lifting/moving objects up to 100 pounds or more Data entry, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills Safety and product knowledge; understanding of diagrams and schematics Intermediate diagnostic aptitude; basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Wynne, ET/SIS/SIS Web/STW; basic knowledge of Windows/Internet Work Environment Noise: Moderate Indoors and outdoors Risks: Works with moving mechanical parts; may work at heights and be exposed to vibration and fumes Other Duties Job Offers are contingent upon all required pre-employment screenings, which may include background checks, drug/alcohol testing, fit-for-duty testing, and other job-related screenings.
