Job Description
Physical Therapist — James | SSCBC Oncology Rehabilitation, OSU Gynecologic Oncology (2523). The Rehabilitation Team provides care within a continuous performance improvement environment. Team members assess patients, establish plans of care, provide a wide variety of treatment techniques, educate and support patients and families, and facilitate continuing care planning. The Physical Therapy Team Member will have advanced knowledge in oncology treatment and be competent in evaluation and treatment of lymphedema with complete decongestive therapy (CDT, MLD) and pelvic floor diagnoses for pelvic health impairments. Team members report to the Rehab Services Manager and collaborate with other care team members to coordinate services and programs.
Responsibilities
Assess patients and collaboratively establish plans of care with the care team.
Provide a wide variety of physical therapy treatment techniques.
Educate and support patients and families; facilitate continuing care planning.
Evaluate quality of services and participate in outcomes management activities.
Apply advanced knowledge in oncology-related assessment and treatment, including lymphedema management and pelvic floor health impairments.
Coordinate with Rehab Services Manager, physical therapy assistants, volunteers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited school or equivalent combination of education or experience.
Currently licensed in the state of Ohio as a Physical Therapist.
0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
