HVAC Service Technician Description

The Service Technician will work independently or as part of a team, responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of commercial HVACR equipment, systems, and units. Job Duties

Analyze work orders, plan daily travel, investigate complaints, conduct tests, and resolve problems for existing accounts. Study system requirements, order and gather components, complete installations, and perform acceptance tests to establish service. Examine complaints, identify solutions, suggest improvements, and recommend system enhancements to maintain rapport with customers. Operate personal equipment by following instructions, troubleshoot breakdowns, maintain supplies, perform preventive maintenance, and call for repairs. Document service and installation actions through forms, reports, logs, and records. Maintain customer confidence by keeping service information confidential. Participate in educational opportunities and read professional publications to update knowledge. Complete related results as needed to accomplish operations and organizational goals. Follow additional instructions and perform other duties as set by management. Qualifications

Experience working in a service vehicle for an HVAC contractor, with the ability to work well in a team. VRF experience is preferred. Own tools required. Reliable with excellent oral and written communication skills. Willing to undergo pre-employment screening, including background checks and drug testing. Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and handle tools and equipment, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and sit as needed. Frequently lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally more with assistance. Visual abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception. Reasonable accommodations are available. Education/Experience

Technician’s Degree or equivalent from a Technical/Trade School with HVAC certification and 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office are required. Benefits Offered
