The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for oversight of inventory and cycle counts, ensuring that the materials match the reported inventory. Also responsible for supervising and training Warehouse Associates in the inventory group, maintaining inventory accuracy by processing material reports and transfers, and helping others locate materials.

Primary Responsibilities
Supervises and trains warehouse inventory control employees
Oversees cycle count process
Maintains cycle count records for review by management
Informs proper personnel of material shortages
Identifies and researches inventory discrepancies
Submits reports to management related to cycle count activity
Updates transactions in SAP
Oversees proper maintenance of all physical storage spaces
Creates new locations for new parts
Ensures proper rotation of first-in first-out (FIFO) items; scrap pull and removes items physically and systematically
Prepares reports such as inventory balances, weekly cycle counts, and production breakdowns
Maintains shrink at or below company standard
Reconciles weekly parts received schedule
Notifies Purchasing to follow up on late parts
Monitors inventory rotations and makes recommendations as needed
Identify and lead inventory accuracy improvement projects
Completes root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies and identifies improvement
Experience
3+ years supervisory experience in a warehouse inventory environment required.
Knowledge/ training (preferred)
Strong communication skills - verbal and written
Excellent organizational and administrative skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail oriented and ability to multitask
Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operation systems such as SAP or similar
Knowledge of LTL and dedicated services
Education
High School or GED preferred
