Supply Chain Technician - Supply Chain--FT-Day
role at UC Irvine Health. UCI Health is the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine, and the only academic health system based in Orange County. UCI Health comprises the main campus, UCI Medical Center (459-bed acute care hospital in Orange, CA), four hospitals and affiliated physicians of the UCI Health Community Network in Orange and Los Angeles counties and ambulatory care centers across the region. This role supports purchasing and inventory management for a specific area of hospital inventory, executing supply chain operations and logistics including receiving, distribution, picking, put-away, product delivery, par/point-of-use replenishment, and input of patient charges as directed. The position collaborates with departmental end users to ensure an effective and streamlined supply chain.
Responsibilities
Provide purchasing and inventory management support for a specific area of hospital inventory, including supply chain operations and logistics (receiving, distribution, picking, put-away, product delivery, par/point-of-use replenishment, stocking).
Input patient charges as directed.
Collaborate with departmental end users/customers to ensure an effective and streamlined supply chain.
Required Qualifications
1 year of previous job-related experience managing a multiple product inventory (SKU) and stock procurement system.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and a rotating schedule to meet operational needs.
Ability to perform heavy manual tasks.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Effective communication skills in English (read, write, follow verbal and written instructions).
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of hospital MMIS system.
Knowledge of UCI policies and procedures.
Inventory management experience in a hospital, clinic or similar environment.
Licenses & Certifications
Driver's License
