during normal business hours. Our client in the manufacturing space is looking for a
Materials Operations Manager
to oversee all aspects of materials operations—including procurement, inventory control, and warehouse logistics. You will ensure that projects are delivered on time, cost-effectively, and with accurate materials availability. You will also manage supplier relationships, optimize material flow using NetSuite ERP/WMS, and drive continuous improvement through Lean principles and performance metrics. Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of materials operations, including procurement, inventory control, and warehouse logistics. Ensure projects are delivered on time, cost-effectively, and with accurate materials availability. Manage supplier relationships, optimize material flow using NetSuite ERP/WMS, and drive continuous improvement through Lean principles and performance metrics. Required Skills
Minimum 7 years of experience leading materials management, procurement, or warehouse operations in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing or integration environment. Advanced proficiency in
NetSuite ERP/WMS
for purchasing, inventory management, and reporting. Strong leadership experience
overseeing teams of
buyers, warehouse, and inventory control staff. Deep understanding of
lean inventory practices
and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., 5S, Kaizen). Expertise in
supplier management , negotiation, and cost optimization. Proficiency in
data analysis and reporting , including advanced Excel skills. Excellent communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration abilities. Bachelor's degree in
Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations Management , or a related discipline preferred. Preferred
Familiarity with
SOX or audit compliance
within a manufacturing or technology company. Experience implementing or enhancing
digital transformation or automation
