Job Title: Supply Chain Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Reports To: GM Department: Operations Location: Valley View, Ohio Salary Grade: TBD COMPANY OVERVIEW: Founded in 1953 Avtron has a long history of manufacturing market leading power test solutions. POSITION SUMMARY: Direct and coordinate, purchasing, warehousing, distribution, forecasting, and production planning to limit costs and improve accuracy, customer service. Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs. Direct the movement, storage, or processing of inventory. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Functions: Confer with supply chain planners to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products. Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities. Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality. Drive actions that support defined KPI’s (DOI, supplier OTD, WADPO, schedule adherence). Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service. Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance. Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders. Meet with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, or to discuss production forecasts or changes. Ensure that SAP item master information is accurately maintained to drive MRP and to ensure material/resource availability based on the production schedule. Implement new or improved supply chain processes. Design or implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies. Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, production planning, warehousing, or receiving. Identity ways to improve productivity and safety. May be called upon to guide, monitor and instruct entry level employees in their duties. Assume additional responsibilities as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; or five years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Skills Excellent time management and the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities Strong customers orientation Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong team player Experience Familiar with bills of materials and shop orders Five years or more related experience and/or training .
