KBR is seeking a Spacecraft Operations Technician to join our team supporting Ground and Payload Systems. Your contributions will be pivotal in designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure security and shape the future of space defense. Key Responsibilities: Spacecraft Planning/Monitoring/Operations:
Test and perform on-console activities involving satellite operations during launch and early orbit support or long-term operations. Plan, set up, and configure ground communication support, develop, validate, and execute pass plans; monitor telemetry, advise leads and management of failures and degradation, and recommend recovery procedures. Communications/Scheduling/Troubleshooting:
Establish voice, messaging, and data communications for multiple satellite programs of varying priorities and classifications; troubleshoot end-to-end communication issues. Configure and monitor displays for computer and network equipment during normal mission operations. Use COTS software tools for multi-program coordination and scheduling. Identify anomalous conditions and implement corrective actions. Support operational outages and documentation. Support various operational status and review meetings. Identify issues and recommend solutions. This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work. Work Environment: Location:

Minimal, approximately 20% Working Hours:
Standard Qualifications: Required: Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a completed High School diploma or equivalent; or 0 years of relevant experience with an Associate’s degree. Experience conducting satellite operations with the Satellite Control Network in real-time environments. Experience monitoring satellite activities. Familiarity with satellite ground systems, including hardware, software, and communications architecture. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Familiar with UNIX and Windows-based systems. Ability to create and follow standard processes and document results. Ability to distinguish colors on a monitor (red, blue, green). Willingness to work multiple shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Desired: Proven teamwork and interpersonal skills. Effective interfacing with users, customers, management, and engineering personnel. Good verbal and written communication skills. Comfort with using intercom and phone systems for communication.
