Manager of Communications and Publications for Enrollment Services/Student Operations The Manager of Communications and Publications for Enrollment Services/Student Operations is responsible for the development, management, and delivery of all enrollment services publications and communications for St. George’s University (SGU) and Rocky Vista University (RVU). This role ensures communications are accurate, timely, student-centered, and aligned with institutional policies and goals. The Manager oversees enrollment services-related communications across Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, Clinical Education Operations, Scholarships, Institutional Loans, and Student Health Insurance, while also managing SGU student portals in tandem with departmental leaders. This role is hands‑on, directly responsible for drafting, editing, scheduling, and sending communications using technology platforms for the enrollment services group.

This position reports to the Chief Enrollment Services and Student Operations Officer.

Essential Functions Communications Management

Draft, edit, schedule, and send student-facing communications on behalf of Enrollment Services using communication technology platforms (e.g., Salesforce, CRM, email delivery systems).

Ensure communications are clear, accurate, timely, and consistent across Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, Clinical Education Operations, Scholarships, Institutional Loans, and Student Health Insurance.

Serve as one of the final approvers for communications, ensuring quality and compliance.

Partner with Marketing and Communications on institution‑wide or large‑scale campaigns as needed.

Portal Oversight

Oversee and maintain enrollment-related content within student portals, working in collaboration with department leaders.

Ensure student portals are updated regularly with accurate, student‑friendly content that aligns with institutional policies.

Partner with IT and Enrollment Services leadership to optimize portal functionality for communication delivery.

Publications & Academic Content

Lead the compilation, updating, and publication of the Student Manual, Academic Catalogs, Course Guidelines, Course Descriptions, Program Outlines.

Work closely with the University Registrar, Academic Deans, Legal and Compliance to ensure publications are accurate, compliant, and student‑ready.

Conduct quality control checks on academic publications, ensuring prerequisites, course restrictions, and program outlines remain accurate.

Ensure timely release and distribution of all publications to students, faculty, and staff.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work

Build strong partnerships with Enrollment Services leadership, Registrar, Academic Deans, Compliance, and Marketing to align communications and publications with institutional priorities.

Partner with Legal and Compliance to ensure all communications are compliant and approved (as needed).

Provide consultation and expertise on best practices for enrollment communications.

Other Duties

Provide coverage for core functions as needed to ensure uninterrupted service to applicants, students, graduates and staff.

Perform other duties and special projects assigned by leadership.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to draft clear, student‑focused communications.

Experience using communication technology platforms (Salesforce, CRM tools, mass email systems, or similar).

Knowledge of academic publications, catalog production, and course/program descriptions.

Strong attention to detail, with expertise in quality control and compliance editing.

Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple deadlines.

Strong collaboration skills; able to work effectively with academic and administrative stakeholders.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe tools for document management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

5–7 years of experience in higher education communications, publications, or enrollment services.

Experience drafting, editing, and scheduling communications using CRM or email systems strongly preferred.

Background in managing academic catalogs or manuals preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Professional office environment with frequent use of computers, phones, and digital communication tools.

Ability to manage a high volume of communications and publications in a fast‑paced setting.

Hours & Travel

Standard work week: 37.5–40 hours, Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Flexibility required during peak publication or enrollment periods.

Occasional travel for meetings or institutional support as required.

Effective Communications: Enrollment-related communications are accurate, timely, and student‑centered across SGU and RVU.

Publications Accuracy: Student manuals, catalogs, guidelines, and course/program descriptions are updated, error‑free, and compliant.

Portal Alignment: Student portals deliver consistent, accurate content in collaboration with departmental leaders.

Technology Utilization: Communication systems are effectively used to draft, schedule, and deliver high‑impact messages.

Collaboration: Communications and publications align with academic and operational priorities through cross‑departmental partnerships.

Salary The anticipated salary range for the Manager of Communications and Publications for Enrollment Services is $68,000 to $90,000 per year. The final salary offered may vary and will be determined based on factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, location, and education of the successful candidate.
